If you're reading this
then you have likely witnessed presentations that have been lost by
technicians, or not displayed correctly. Unfortunately, this happens all the
time. IN general, audiovisual companies do not take responsibility for
the presentation - only the projector! And, there can be significant
inconsistencies in technical abilities from venue to another, and from one
city to another.
The PresenterTM
represents a bold departure from the opportunities historically available to
conferences organizers. Having managed speaker ready and session rooms for
many organizations using our software, we predict a shift in how
presentation management services will be delivered at meetings in the
future. Not only can
The PresenterTM
put the management and control of this critical component into the hands of
conference organizers, but also,
The PresenterTM
represents a new and potentially significant revenue stream for meeting
planners, as the staffing for presentation management shifts away from audio
visual companies.

The Speaker Ready module is the main control center, to be operated only
by presentation management personnel. This module has all of the features
of the Kiosk and the Show, in addition to management tools for
organization of files and administrative reporting.
Users have several
methods of searching for specific presentations. Using a pull-down menu to
display presenters’ last names the user will select the name of the
presenter whose talk they wish to work on. Once selected, the complete
information for that presentation will be displayed on the various fields on
this screen. As The Presenter will import database information from an
internet upload system, this screen will also show any information about the
presentations collected through that submission process.
Presentation
Management personnel will be able to perform the required speaker ready
tasks to this presentation and record the state of the file as “finished” or
“requiring more attention”, along with notes for further explanation.
The
user can also select a session based on day and time in the lower half of
the screen to show the status of all of the talks in that session. Clicking
on the title of a specific talk within that list will “load” that talk into
the top section.

The user can also view the
overall status of the full session for which the individual presentation
takes place within. A paper copy of this information can be printed to
assist moderators or speaker managers with their duties.
A view one level up shows the
status of multiple sessions with regard to presentations submitted, examined
and distributed, including totals and percentages. This too can be printed
on hard copy for conference organizers.
This screen is divided into
two sections. The box on the left lists multiple sessions for a selected day
and start time, showing if each session has all completed talks, whether or
not it contains a presentation that has been marked, “attention”, and
whether the session has been synched to the meeting room (external
synchronization program). The synch box should be editable from this screen.
If the user clicks on a single session by title, the box on the right
displays the appropriate information for that selection. The display from
each of these boxes can be printed separately.
