MASTER
SLIDE
Masters and Templates - what's the difference? The slide masters hold text and other elements that make provide
consistency for presentations. For example the title would be
centered, bolded and shadowed and a font size and style defined
for every slide in the presentation.
The templates are preset color
and font schemes that also give your presentation a consistent and balanced look. PowerPoint comes with at
least 50 templates
with colors chosen to compliment each other and
are used for the background, the title, body text, lines, bullets,
fills and shadows. There are 8 colors in each design with the option
of adding additional colors if required.
Adjusting the Master:
You may add an element to repeat on every slide by
adding or changing elements to the Slide
Master. This is where you would adjust bullets, add company
classification information , add slide numbers, add a date, add a logo or change fonts and colors.
Use
the Slide Master to simplify modifications that may be made to your presentation at
a later time. If you decide that you wish to change the font color
for an entire presentation, without having do it manually on every
single slide, follow the steps below. Remember that changing the
master only affects elements, or slides, that were created using
the master.
